House M.D.

Journal Entry: Wed Oct 8, 2008, 5:49 PM
Ok, yeah I'm late to the whole "water cooler talk" type shows. I don't usualy watch shows like that on TV because I more often than not miss an episode which can screw you over. SO! I have season 1 of House M.D. on DVD and thoroughly enjoying it.

Design a Background for Blaze?

Journal Entry: Mon Sep 29, 2008, 2:32 PM
Hey everyone,

I know this Blaze game is taking a while to do, but it's trying to work around doing a ton of other things at the same time.

So, I'm here to ask you, my DevWathcers if you could design backgrounds for me to use in the Dress-up game. If you're intrested, there are .fla and .png Templates here.

It's up to you what you draw, no rules. I'll include as many as possible in the final game and full credit will be given.

You can send your background to nanojambagel @ hotmail [dot] com or submit it to your deviantart and send me a note. Remember to include the name you wish to be credited by. There is no time limit yet. However my goal for finishing this project is for the 11th of December 2008, which is the day I signed up for DA 5 years ago.

EDIT
Because I'm constantly asked for the original Amy Dress-up, It's now on Newgrounds.com [link] ~ Enjoy... I guess -shudder-

Call of Duty 5 MP Perks

Journal Entry: Sun Sep 28, 2008, 5:15 PM
[link]

Call of duty geeks like myself will proberly already be planning their perfect perk combo. This is just a Rumor so this isn't the solid list.

( • Perk My Comment )

Perk 1
• Special Grenades x3
• Satchel Charge x2
• M9A1 Bazooka x2
• Bomb Squad
• Bouncing Betty x2 (similar to claymores)
• Bandolier Personal Fav
• Primary Grenades x2 Pineapples
• M2 Flamethrower Can see some fun retarded games coming from this

Perk 2
• Stopping Power
• Fireworks (explosives cause more damage)
• Flak Jacket (decreases damage taken by explosives)
• Gas Mask ?? to see through smoke?
• Juggernaut
• Camouflage Intresting
• Sleight of Hand
• Shades (decreases intensity of signal flares)
• Double Tap
• Overkill

Perk 3
• Deep Impact
• Extreme Conditioning
• Steady Aim
• Toss Back (resets fuse on tossing back enemy grenade)
• Second Chance (ability to revive allies) HolyCRAP, MEDIC!
• Martyrdom
• Fireproof but then the ninjas will get you.
• Dead Silence
• Iron Lungs
• Reconnaissance (shows artillery and tanks on map) may prove useful

Vehicle Perk
• Water Cooler
• Greased Bearings donuts anyone?
• Ordnance Training oh no... tougher tanks
• Leadfoot higher top speed?
• Coaxial Machine Gun Intresting

overall, I think the list is solid but until thay release playlist types, I'm still a little sceptical

GAYLO THREE (Halo3)

Journal Entry: Sat Sep 27, 2008, 8:55 AM
As far as online games go, I like Halo3, dispite the community itself being 80% 15yearolds. BUT I wish the online achievements weren't so... unforgiving.

Let me explain, I need to get a double kill with the "Spartan Lazer". But this requires me to on a map that has a Spartan Lazer. Not only that, it has to be on a RANKED "Lone Wolf" playlist.

Fair enough, but out of 15 games only 1 of them will have a map with a spartan lazer. Even then, out of the 15 games I'v proberly increased my true skill leve quite a bit. The more I level up, the less chance I have of getting onto a map with a spartan lazer.

So NOW I'm having to lose every match I play to Level-down until my chances of getting on a Map with the lazer are decent enough for me to try this achievement.

HAHAHA... I'm killing myself and letting others kill me and I'm still leveling up.

$100

Journal Entry: Mon Sep 22, 2008, 3:19 PM
So, I was cleaning my shelves and drawers looking for this envelope with some Yen Notes I got from a friend who served with the Marines during the Pacific Campaign of WWII. I'm digging and digging and I'm finding all these books I'v been collecting and photos of my Dad's travels around the world, but no evnvelope.

Then I come across a book with a rather fancy bookmark. I open it up to find a $100USD bill (£53GBP). How awesome is that? Not that I can spent it here... I'll keep it for when I'm buying Mountain Dew (It's been so long).

train of thought -->
Oh, I did find the Yen Notes from my friend. Intrestingly enough, one of the notes has written on one side "Recived Jan 20 1946 (signed) Harry J. Sapin PFC U.S.M.C". I love things like this. Makes me smile, and I wonder how that day must have went. Jan 20th 1946... 6 Months after the atomic bomb was dropped. Like 9/11, the Atomic bomb would still be fresh in everyone's mind. Harry would still be doing his service in Japan, proberly trying to forget about the Atomic Bomb.

As for my Dad's photo's; around 1965-75, he traveled the world with the merchant navy. It's pretty cool knowing my dad was there and in these exotic places like Barbados and Moscow. He even showed me his collection of his 5 different passports which are FULL of stamps and passes from all over.

I also found some old photos of my Mum and Dad as thay traveled around Scotland on Motorbikes. And later in a Ford Granada with their two black labradors. Needless to say, it's my Mum taking most of the photos.

Haha, I also found a photo of my GrandPapa with a cat on his lap and a cat on his shoulder while he's trying to eat breakfast. I couldn't find out what the cat's names were.

Apparently, I get some of my drawing skills from my Papa. He too went to study Graphic Design but I think the War called him to duty before he got into it. After the war, he went into farming until he retired just a few number of years back. He does have a small portfolio which I've learned he will be passing to me in his will.

I think I've said a fair bit of whats on my mind.
Please forgive any spelling errors.

Getting out and about.

Journal Entry: Thu Sep 18, 2008, 8:57 PM
  • Eating: Profiteroles
  • Drinking: Orange Juice
Going to college has been alright, I'm slowly learning new things about design. Only thing I'm kinda pissed about is that our communications class has been put back till next semester, which only delays a subject I was hoping to get OVER and DONE with at the start so I could work on the harder design projects in the second semester. But yeah, slow.

At first it didn't really seem important, but a graphic designer without a camera is like a pencil without a sharpner... you can only do so much before you need it. SO, I'm looking for sh*t to sell, thinking of new T-Shirt Designs to sell(although no-one is buying any), and I've also canceled all my videogame orders/pre-orders to buy a professional camera. With my hometown such an ugly sore of a town, practicing my photography will be hard to say the least.

I'm still getting Gears of War 2, Call of Duty 5 and Sonic Unleashed. MAYBE Killzone 2 ... (Ok stop talking about games.)

Auchinawa is in 8 weeks. Urgh, I still got sh*t to finish for that. Not too much thankfuly. 5 Sketches to line and 1 Front Cover to design. I'll be sure to bring back photos for you guys.

Next Year, I'v got plans (almost set in stone) to visit New York and Connecticut sometime in July. But unlike my last visit, I will appreciate the being in New York. I'm hoping to visit a few War Museums and the MET Art Museum. Riverside park, Ground Zero, OHYEAH and Nintendo World (It was "The Pokemon Center" last time I visited). In Connecticut, I'll be visiting friends of the family. I'm also hoping to pay my respects to a friend who died a few years back. I was never able to write a corraspondence to him in time before he passed away.

So yeah... busy busy

Yeah, I'm acctuly going to an Anime Con'

November 14th - 16th

VIP style :D

Well, yeah, thats if I can get these badge-arts done. Needless to say I can't post previews just yet. I only have till about then end of September to get them done. I'm not doing the colours so that kinda takes some of the work off me but no reason to slack-off. I'v also to develop a new Corporate Identity because using free fonts for a logo dosn't look very good, so yeah more fun with freehand. And after that I'v to design the Con Book Cover... well I think thats one of the optional jobs.

Thanks to ~Bryoz for giving me the job.

Awesome mustaches

Journal Entry: Mon Sep 1, 2008, 4:28 PM
Ok, Please help me.

I have to prove that mustaches are cool.

My tutor said if I could name 5 cool people with mustaches, I can use my idea pitch for this project.

1. Theodore Roosevelt (HEY! He could kick your arse and back!)
2. Groucho Marx (ok is was painted but it was awesome)
3. Martin Luthor King
4. Einstein
5. Charlie Chaplin

6. Nikola Tesla
7. Jamie Hyneman (OMGWTF how could I forget to add Jamie)
8. Freddie Mercury
9. John D. Rockefeller
10.

Ok, I have five, BUT! I'd like to know of more famous and historical Mustaches.

I need one more. My history is a little sloppy, I'm sure there is one more I SHOULD know but can quite remember right now.

Oh, and Hitler was a faker... so NO!

A: We'll see.

Q4.) "I know there was another question, but I forgot."

A: Well, I got college in the morning so... ask me later.
